I have a 1960 mid-century ranch I’ve been renovating for years. (Some people have project cars; I have a project house.) Consequently, I hire a lot of trades people.

I needed some electrical work done; the old electrician had retired. While riding my bike one day, I passed by an electrician’s shop fairly close to home — oh, wonderful! Once home, I viewed his website, called, and left a message. No response.

I called again, and a few days later, he called back and said, sure, he’d be happy to come by and named a day.

He never showed up. I realized it was because the job was too small for him.

(I have since found a great electrician; he was recommended by my equally awesome HVAC guy. He installed my Generac “stand by” generator and now takes care of all the little stuff — including the messes made by previous owners. Wiring is not a hobby — ha!)

Anyway, I get it — not everyone wants to do small jobs. They can take a lot of time; the profit margin is slim. Business gurus will tell you to focus on the bigger fish. If you’re a manufacturer, I know you understand.

But . . . people need help with the little stuff. And the funny thing is, the small stuff is super important too — maybe more so. Done well, it builds trust and exposure for your business, and over time, can lead to conversions and sales.

With that long preamble, I’m happy to announce we now offer Marketing À la Carte services for manufacturers.
