FAQs
Why should we hire you?
My goal is to build a long-term relationship with you based on mutual respect and trust. I’m dedicated to providing a high-touch, super-responsive customer experience — a value shared by my team as well. I make your work life easier, remove marketing-related stress, and save you money over the long term.
We’re not a manufacturer. Will you work with us?
I specialize in working with industrial companies: manufacturers, OEMs, job shops, etc. However, I’ve also worked with companies that create warehouse systems, construction companies that oversee huge metal recycling yards, and software companies whose audience includes manufacturers.
I’ve also worked with many distribution-type companies and sales organizations. In fact, I’m often hired by these companies because of my combined manufacturing, marketing, and sales expertise.
Industries run the gamut from medical devices and laser marking to robotics and abrasive blasting. I’m pretty knowledgeable in all things industrial. If it’s manufactured, I can write about it.
Do you have experience in our industry?
The better question is, “Can you create content about our process, products, etc. — that’s professionally written/designed for a technical audience?” YES, absolutely.
I’ve worked with dozens of B2B and manufacturing companies, large and small, throughout my career. I’ve toured over 100 manufacturing facilities. Chances are, I’ll understand what you do and how you do it. If not, I’m a fast learner.
Can we hire you for marketing if you didn’t design our website?
Yes, please view my À la Carte Marketing Services.
For my Ongoing Marketing Service, I work specifically with clients that had us create a Custom Build Website. Because I oversee these projects start-to-finish, I’m able to ensure each website becomes the foundation for how I approach ongoing marketing for you. (Be sure to read my page; my approach is simple and based on common sense.)
Our website isn’t in WordPress. Can you still make the changes needed to help us get leads?
Unfortunately, we cannot. DIY and legacy platforms (which are often no longer supported) don’t allow us the freedom to make the changes necessary to help you meet your lead conversion goals.
Our website is built in WordPress using a website builder plugin. Can you work with those?
No. This is because when we look at the backend, we see lots of red flags and error messages, which we don’t want to take on. And too, it’s much harder to fix problems with a builder plugin than it is to simply start over. If this is the case with your website, I recommend you contact the person or agency who built it. Or, you can talk to me about creating a Custom Build Website.
Do you work with companies that compete against us?
NO. If I’m approached by a company that offers services or products similar to yours, I’ll ask you first if it’s ok to proceed with a conversation.
How does billing work?
Custom Build Websites: Payment is in three parts: one-third non-refundable deposit, one-third once copy is delivered, and then final payment once the design is complete.
Custom Marketing Programs: I start with a 3-month trial program; if you and I decide to continue working together, contracts will run for 12 months. Work is billed the first of the month for the previous month. A 60-day notice is required to end the contract should your needs change.
À la Carte: 50% non-refundable deposit, remainder is due once the project is completed, or monthly invoicing for clients providing ongoing project work.
You can pay by check, ACH, or credit card. I prefer check or ACH.
Will you sign an NDA?
YES. Simply send one via email.
