All websites we build are HTML5 and HTTPS compliant and mobile-friendly (aka “responsive”). All content is optimized to Google’s stated guidelines before go-live.
What follows are other questions we hear about SEO.
What is search engine optimization?
Search engine optimization (SEO), also referred to as organic or natural search, is designing your site so that it gets indexed and then found by people searching on Google, Yahoo, Bing, or other search engines.
To increase targeted inquiries from search engines, effective search engine optimization can help. If you’re in a competitive space, you’ll need to use SEO along with paid search, ie: Google Ads.
What is organic search traffic?
Organic or natural search traffic means people are coming to your site from a search engine without you paying for it.
What is paid search traffic?
Paid search traffic means people are coming to your site from a search engine ad and you are paying for it. The most common type of paid search traffic is where you per for each click on your ad, also referred to as PPC. As the name implies, you pay each time someone clicks on your ad. You can see paid ads at the top and bottom of Google and Bing.
Will I see a return on investment?
Manufacturers can realize significant ROI once their website is optimized because they’re often in a very niche industry and competition is not as fierce as the consumer space.
SEO can be an effective strategy if you want to increase leads. A thorough analysis of your industry space, and your website, with regard to search can help determine what you need and the possible ROI.
How long does it take to see results?
Clients who have us build their websites generally begin receiving inquiries from organic search after a month (faster if using Google Ads).
SEO is an on-going activity: it’s not something you can do once and then forget about. Once your new website is live, you’ll want to discuss how you’ll drive traffic to it through a combination of paid search and organic, or organic plus content marketing.
How do you track results?
We track goals through Google Analytics. Goals typically include email clicks, RFQ or other form conversions, and call tracking.
If you’ve hired us to oversee your marketing, we provide a monthly report and go over the data with you.
