I don’t know David Newman at all. But after reading his book, I’ve come to believe we were separated at birth. Or maybe we simply traveled the same marketing journey.
At any rate, David has written the book that every small business owner needs to read. In it, he explains why small business owners aren’t more successful at marketing.
It’s because they throw money into a marketing black hole.
Yep. I see it all the time. From the outdated — or worse DIY freebie website — to the lack of a blog or social media, small businesses are wasting a lot of time and money on marketing that doesn’t work.
In Do It Marketing, David lays out a framework for positioning yourself as an expert in order to maximize your company’s visibility, credibility and marketing magnetism. (I like that — marketing magnetism. Basically, he means get more leads and sales through great marketing.)
“Ok,” you’re thinking, “I’ve read all the marketing books. Why is this one different?” Here’s the thing — it’s as if David is inside of your business.
One, he knows you’re smart, because hello, you’re an entrepreneur, but you’re not marketing smart.
Two, he knows you’ve spent money on unnecessary business consultants or other “must haves” while letting your website or blog languish (due to “lack of money”) — and then wonder why you’re not getting more leads.
And three, he knows that you have days where you want to throw in the towel because while you’re working hard, you’re not getting ahead.
The book is broken down into easy to read chapters with one strategy or tip per chapter, with chapters covering everything from determining who your customers are and why people should buy from you to developing a 21-day marketing launch plan.
David has laid out such great advice, I actually found myself taking notes — and that’s saying something because I rarely read marketing books anymore.
You can order your copy of Do It Marketing at David’s website — www.doitmarketing.com/book. You also get a bunch of free bonuses when you order.
Good stuff, David!
